William Stanhope White was born in Oudtshorn, South Africa, was single and was employed as a Clerk. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 22. He volunteered and was stationed with the 14th Battalion, 13th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 4336. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 24th of November 1915.
