Biography

Edmund Thomas Charles Williams (SN 1443) was born in Daylesford, but enlisted in Ballarat on November 6th 1914. He was 26, single and a labourer. He joined the 7th Infantry Battalion and embarked in February 1915 aboard the Clan McGillivray. He reached Gallipoli in June but on August 8th 1915 he was killed in action during the Battle of Lone Pine. He has no known grave, and his name is listed on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
