William Kenneth Overall (Depot) of Humffray Street was a 21 year old clerk when he enlisted in Ballarat on July 27th 1915. Almost immediately he contracted measles, and the complications of bronchopneumonia claimed his life on August 13th. His entire military career lasted just 18 days but he is remembered on the honour board at the Macarthur Street State School and with a tree in the Avenue.
