William Christopher Rashleigh was born in Ballarat and enlisted there on the 3rd August 1915. He was 24 years old, single, and a railway employee. He was posted to the 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4296. On 12th August 1916 he died of wounds inflicted at Pozieres, and is buried in Puchevillers British Cemetery, France.
