Biography

David Jones was born in Wales, UK, but enlisted from Ballarat on 9th July 1915. He was 19 years old, single and a cordial maker. He was drafted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 4527. Later he was transferred to the 58th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in the trenches on 27th September 1917 and is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
