Matthew Thomas Goodall was born and enlisted in Ballarat. Matthew was a married, 28 year old cordial manufacturer at the time of his enlistment on the 8th of September 1915.
His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board RMS Malwa on the 25th of July 1916.
He returned to Australia on the 25th of July 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 8h of September 1919.
