Biography

Arthur Percival Stewart was born in Ballarat, Victoria, was married to Mrs. Elsie Stewart of Lyons Street, Ballarat and was a Miner when he enlisted with the Field Artillery Brigade 4, Reinforcement 3 on 29 September 1915 at the age of 25. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on 28 January 1916. According to his records he completed his tour without major incident, illness or injury returning him to Australia on 9 May 1919.
