Cecil Dixon Jeffery (SN 41) was born at Stawell but his parents were living in Drummond Street Ballarat when, as a 21 year old draper, he enlisted on April 16th 1915. He was posted to the 1st Australian General Hospital staff and embarked aboard the Mooltan on May 18th. His service record provides no further detail of his service prior to April 1916 when he returned to Australia undertaking mess and nursing duties on the Runic. He was discharged on October 6th 1916.
