George Gregory Williams (SN 2337) was a 26 year old farmer at Clarendon, south of Ballarat, when he enlisted on February 23rd 1917. He trained with the Royal Park Depot Battalion before embarking on the Suevic on June 21st 1917. In August he was attached to the 13th Light Horse reinforcements in England until he crossed to France in December and joined the 13th Field Artillery Brigade with whom he served out the war. He returned home on the Friedrichsruhe disembarking at Melbourne on September 1st 1919. He was discharged on November 30th 1919.
