George John Magee (SN2195) was born in Benalla and was 24 years old and married to Emily when he enlisted in Sydney on September 20th 1912. He served as a blacksmith on many ships during his service including the Australia. He was discharged on September 19th 1934.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as George McGee.
