Alfred Victor Muller was a fireman born in Ballarat, but on 25th January 1916 he enlisted from Chilwell. He was 34 years old and married. He was allocated to the 14th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No 6071. He was wounded and captured at Dernancourt, but died in the German medicai system for POWs on 2nd June 1917. He is buried at Valenciennes Communal Cemetery, France.
