Biography

Alfred Victor Muller (SN 6071) was a fireman born in Ballarat and had attended the Humffray Street State School, but on January 24th 1916 he enlisted in Geelong. He was 34 years old and married. He was allocated to the 14th Infantry Battalion and embarked from Melbourne in August. He was wounded and captured at Bullecourt, but died as a prisoner of war on June 2nd 1917. He is buried at Valenciennes Communal Cemetery, France.
