Biography

Born in Eaglehawk, Victoria, Wilfred Oldfield Jackson was a single 20 year old bank clerk at the time of his enlistment on the 17th of August 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on the 20th of October 1914.
Wilfred was awarded the Croix de Guerre on the 20th of December 1917, and the Military Cross on the 6th of March 1918.
His last rank was Captain, but the date of the promotion is unknown.
Wilfred returned to Australia on the 9th of December 1918, it is unknown when he was discharged.
