Biography

Herbert æJohn' Milton Thomas was born in Ballarat but enlisted as a shipping agent in Fremantle WA. He was 35 years old and married. He was allocated to the 44th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 2265. On 20th August 1917 he died of wounds inflicted when a delayed action bomb exploded. He is buried in Westhof Farm Cemetery, Neuve-Eglise, Belgium.
