Stanley Samuel Boyd was born in Geelong, Victoria, was married and was employed as a Fireman. He enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 32. He volunteered and was stationed with the Railway Unit, Section 2 later transferring to the 1st Australian Light Railway Operating Company with the Regimental number 442. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 21st of June 1919. Tree number 3411.
