Biography

Edwin Mitchell was born in Avoca and enlisted from Moonee Ponds on 17th November 1914. He was 44 years old, married and employed as a printer. He became a Private in the 6th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1393. He was killed during the Landing at Anzac Cove on 25th April 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
