Born in Ballarat, Theodore Turner Holmes was a single 30 year old clerk and collector when he enlisted on the 5th of March 1917. His unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board SS Port Darwin on the 30th of April 1918.
He returned to Australia on the 7th of May 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 3rd of July 1919.
