Biography

John Charles McNicol Turnbull was born in Horsham and enlisted there on 6th October 1914. He was a bricklayer, 28 years old and married. He was allocated to the 39th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 241.0n the 2nd May 1917 he died of wounds inflicted at Messines, and is buried in Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France
