Biography

William Alexander Dunstan, a carpenter from Ballarat, Victoria, enlisted in the March 1917 Reinforcements on 2 October 1916 as a Sapper. His unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A74 Marathon on 10 May 1917. On 15 March 1918 he proceeded overseas from England to France before being reassigned to the 3rd Field Company Engineers. He returned to Australia 16 June 1919 before receiving his final discharge discharge on 1 August 1919.
