Biography

William Ralph Forbes Clarke (SN 16330) born in Ballarat, was a 21 year old carpenter when he enlisted on November 1st 1916. Allotted to the 2nd Australian Hospital Ship he embarked aboard the Kanowna just a week later and sailed to England. He returned on the Kanowna, disembarked at Melbourne on March 8th 1917 and was discharged on April 4th. He died on April 18th 1919, cause of death not recorded.
