Biography

Thomas Hunter (SN 3653) born at Ballarat, was a 19 year old farmhand when he enlisted at Ballarat on November 14th 1917. He embarked aboard the Ormonde on March 6th 1918 and by August he had deployed to France to serve with the 58th Infantry Battalion. He safely saw out the final months of the war and returned to Australia aboard the Suevic, disembarked at Melbourne on September 10th 1919 and was discharged on October 3rd.
