Frank Harold Passmore Eggington (SN 55367) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old bank clerk when he enlisted in Ballarat on May 24th 1917. He trained with the Medical Corps at Broadmeadows until he embarked with the 6th General Service Reinforcements aboard the Borda on July 17th 1918. He resumed training in England, but the war ended before he was deployed to the battlefields. He returned to Australia aboard the Ulysses, disembarked at Melbourne on September 2nd 1919 and was discharged two weeks later .
