Biography

William Samuel Williams was born in Blackwood, Victoria, was single and was employed as a Salesman. He enlisted in Sydney, New South Wales at the age of 35. He volunteered and was stationed with the Field Company Engineers, General Reinforcements with the Regimental number 22184. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 22nd of July 1919.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as William S. William.
