Biography

Henry John Dixon (SN 2244) born in Ballarat, was a married 41 year old carpenter when he enlisted in Melbourne on September 19th 1917 and commenced training at Laverton with the Australian Flying Corps. He embarked aboard the Aeneas on October 30th and sailed to England where he served through 1918 as an air mechanic. He returned to Australia on the Kaiser-i-Hind, disembarked on June 16th 1919 and was discharged on July 9th.
