Frederick James Bennetts enlisted in Melbourne at the age of 21 on the 10th of December 1914. He had been born in Ballarat, was single, and was employed as a Printer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 7th Battalion, 3rd Reinforcements with the Regimental Number 1511. He was discharged with injuries due to shelling and mustard gas and returned to Australia on the 2nd of January 1919. Tree No. 353.
