Isaac Pearce Kerr (SN 21117) born at Hamilton, was a married 42 year old clerk when he enlisted in Ballarat on November 12th1917. He embarked aboard the Nestor on February 28th 1918 and sailed to England. In May he reached France to serve with the 5th Division Signal Company, and he came through the final six months of the war without major incident. He returned to Australia aboard the Barambah, disembarked at Melbourne on September 6th 1920 and was discharged on October 14th.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Isaac D. Kerr.
