Biography

Roy Clifford Bosher (SN 51308) was an 18 year old baker from Raglan Street Ballarat when he enlisted on December 3rd 1917. His training was delayed because he was not deemed to be ‘dentally fit’ until March 16th 1918. He embarked from Sydney on May 1st 1918, aboard the Euripides, reaching England on July 2nd. He spent the final months of the war in England, but soon after the Armistice he was transferred to the 2nd General Services Reinforcements in France. He returned to Australia on the Argyllshire, disembarking at Melbourne on September 22nd 1919.
