Biography

James John Henry Newman was a 21 year old postal assistant at the time of his enlistment on the 15th of December 1917. His unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board HMAT A14 Euripides on the 1st of May 1918. On the 5th of October 1918, he was taken on strength with the Australian Corps Signal Company.James returned to Australia on the 7th of September 1919 and was discharged on the 30th of September 1919 due to the termination of his enlistment period.
