William Thomas Watts (SN 3336) born at Sebastopol, was a 20 year old motor driver when he enlisted in Ballarat on December 11th 1917. He trained as an air mechanic with the Australian Flying Corps before embarking from Sydney aboard the Osterley on May 8th 1918 and sailing to England. In late October just two weeks before the war ended, he reached France attached to the 3rd Motor Transport Company. He returned home aboard the Argyllshire, disembarked on September 22nd and was discharged on October 15th.
