William Norris Muntz (SN 3725) born at Nathalia, was a 19 year old student when he enlisted at Beaufort on December 28th 1917. He embarked aboard the Nestor on February 28th 1918 and sailed to England. He joined the 57th Infantry Battalion in France in July 1918 and managed to safely navigate the final months of the war. He returned to Australia aboard the New Zealand SS Raranga, disembarked at Melbourne on October 27th 1919 and was discharged on November 19th. He served again in WW2 with SN VX14728.
