Biography

Edmund Hall Stevens (SN 51453) was born in Sebastopol and attended the Sebastopol State School. He was a 19 year old grocer when he enlisted on March 27th 1918. He was posted to the 22nd Infantry Battalion and embarked from Sydney in May on board the Euripides. He arrived in France in late September and, a few days later on October 3rd 1918, he was killed in action in Estrees village. He is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, France.
