Biography

Iver Norman Iverson (SN 2716) born in Melbourne was a 24 year old mechanic when he enlisted in Melbourne on January 7th 1918 . After training with the Australian Flying Corps at Laverton, he embarked aboard the Nestor on February 28th. He served briefly with the A.F.C. as an air mechanic in England before the fighting ceased. He took some leave in England to do further mechanical training before he returned to Australia aboard the Port Sydney, disembarked at Melbourne on November 12th 1919 and was discharged on December 5th.
