Biography

George Austin Harris was a single 22 year old boot clicker at the time of his enlistment on the 25th of November 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A40 Ceramic on the 22nd of December 1914.
On the 28th of August 1915 he was appointed driver.
On the 11th of August 1917, George married Rosina Florence Oaten in Bristol, England.
He returned to Australia with his wife on the 2nd of March 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 6th of September 1919, the debility not being stated.
