Biography

Leslie Gordon Macdonald enlisted in South Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 21 on the 19th of February 1918. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria was single, and was employed as a Clerk. He volunteered and was stationed with the 16th General Victorian Reinforcements with the Regimental number 69068. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 28th of November 1918.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Leslie G. McDonald.
