Biography

George Rogers (SN 1897) was born in Western Australia where he enlisted at the age of 24 on the 1st of April 1916. He was single and was employed as a Miner. He was stationed with the 3rd Machine Gun Company and embarked in August. He later transferred to the 9th Machine Gun Company. He died of his wounds received at Passchendaele on October 12th 1917. He has no known grave, but he is commemorated at the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres.
