George Rogers enlisted in Subiaco, Western Australia at the age of 24 on the 1st of April 1916. He had been born in Wagin, Western Australia, was single and was employed as a Miner. He volunteered and was stationed with the 3rd Machine Gun Company later transferring to the 9th Machine Gun Company with the Regimental number 1897. He died of his wounds received at Passchendaele. He has no known grave, but he is commemorated at the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres
