Biography

John Percival James (SN 61881) born at Ballarat, was an 18 year old clerk when he enlisted at Ballarat on his 18th birthday, March 18th 1918. With the 13th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked aboard the Zealandic on October 5th. By the time he reached England the Armistice had been signed, and he returned to Australia aboard the Runic as a member of the nursing staff. He disembarked at Melbourne on February 2nd 19120 and was discharged on March 13th.
