Biography

Ernest Harold Webb (SN 55465) born at Mitiamo, was a 24 year old labourer when he enlisted in Ballarat on March 26th 1918. With the 6th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked from Sydney aboard the Borda on July 17th but a week later he was removed from the ship at Fremantle due to illness. He re-embarked from Fremantle aboard the Boonah on October 29th but, with the signing of the armistice, the ship was recalled and he disembarked on December 20th 1918. He was discharged on January 31st 1919.
