Roy Huggins was born in Warrenheip and enlisted from there on 4th July 1916. He was 20 years old, single and a labourer. He was drafted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 6522. The battalion was in the trenches in front of Bapaume when Private Huggins received a fatal wound, and died on 12th February 1917. He is buried in Dernacourt Communal Cemetery, France.
