William Robert Humphries was a single 24 year old miner at the time of his enlistment on the 30th of June 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A71 Nestor on the 11th of October 1915.
He returned to Australia on the 18th of February 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 21st of August 1919.
