Born in Ballarat, Clifford Longhurst was a single 19 year old clerk at the time of his enlistment on the 9th of April 1918 in his hometown. His unit embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board RMS Orontes on the 5th of June 1918.
Clifford returned to Australia on the 14th of September 1919 and was discharged on the 25th of September 1919.
