Biography

Born in Ballarat, Victoria and a Butcher by trade, Allan Clark was 18 years and single when enlisted on the 16th of April 1918 in the 13th General (Victorian) Reinforcements, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Private, Number 61836. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board SS 'Zealandic' on the 5th of October 1918. Joined 22nd Battalion on the 5th of December 1918; the A.M.C. on the 18th of December 1918 and the 2nd Field Ambulance on the 26th of August 1919. Embarked return to Australia per 'Friedrichrush' on the 22nd of January 1920. Disembarked on the 9th of March 1920 and Discharged from the 3rd Military District on the 1st of April 1920.
