Biography

Clarence Sydney Pernonie was born in Ballarat and enlisted from Ballarat East on 4th January 1915. He was 20 years old, single and a labourer. He was drafted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1794. He was killed in the fighting around Lone Pine on 6th August 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
