Biography

Stanley Trehearne Jones (SN 64473) born in Sebastopol, was a 21 year old postal employee when he enlisted in Ballarat on May 17th 1918. With the 6th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked from Sydney aboard the Port Darwin on September 14th and reached Egypt on October 20th, just three weeks before the Armistice was signed. He returned to Australia aboard the Madras, disembarked on July 31st 1919 and was discharged on August 15th .
