Biography

Originally from Gloucestershire, England, Harry Edward Nicholls was a married 37 year old Insurance superintendent at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 30th of April 1918. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A37 Barambah on the 31st of August 1918.
From the 29th of January 1919 to the 15th of May 1919 he acted as Temporary Corporal.
He returned to Australia on the 10th of September 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 25th of September 1919.
