Howard Gordon Bennett was born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single and was employed as a Fitter and Turner. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 18. He volunteered and was stationed with the Australian Flying Corps, 2nd Squadron with the Regimental number 3531. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 6th of May 1919. Tree number 3625.
