Edmund James Millar (SN 64575) born in Melbourne, was a 21 year old fitter when he enlisted in Melbourne on May 28th 1918. With the 6th General Service Reinforcements, he embarked aboard the Port Darwin on September 14th and sailed to Egypt where he was posted to the 4th Light Horse Regiment. However, the Armistice was signed three weeks after he reached Suez and he was returned to Australia aboard the Essex , disembarked at Melbourne on July 25th 1919 and was discharged on August 9th. He also enlisted to serve during World War 2 with service number N107288.
