Biography

Born in Ballarat, William John Murnane was a single 19 year old railway employee at the time of his enlistment on the 19th of June 1918 in his hometown. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A37 Barambah on the 31st of August 1918.
William returned to Australia on the 27th of November 1919, and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 12th of December 1919.
