Biography

Born in Stranraer, Scotland, William Jolly was a single 22 year old salesman at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 3rd of February 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A73 Commonwealth on the 2nd of November 1917.
On the 2nd of April 1918, William was taken on strength with the 4th Light Horse Regiment. He returned to Australia on the 31st of March 1919 and was discharged on the 19th of May 1919.
