Born in Ballarat, Cecil Joseph McCann was a single 21 year old billiard maker at the time of his enlistment on the 1st of November 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A7 Medic on the 16th of December 1916.
Cecil was discharged as medically unfit on the 25th of April 1918.
