Biography

Edgar Dejersey Robin was born in South Yarra, Victoria, was single and a student living in Ballarat when he enlisted in the Field Artillery Brigade, Reinforcement 27 on 27 February 1917 at the age of 19. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A15 Port Sydney on 9 November 1917. According to his records, other than an offence of overstaying his leave from 5:00PM February 14 to 8:35 PM 18 February 1918, for which he was awarded a forfeiture of 5 days' pay, his record shows no significant illness, incident or injury. He returned to Australia and received his final discharge on 30 May 1919.

His brother, Theophilus Martin Robin (Tree No. 3719), enlisted with the same unit on the same day, embarking from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A15 Port Sydney on 9 November 1917.
