Rowland Corrie Valentine was born in Ballarat and was an Engineer by trade when he enlisted in the 18th RTFS G.S.G. on June 20th 1918. He trained at Broadmeadows and Laverton but with the war ending on November 11th he was demobilised and discharged on Christmas Eve 1918.
